On 1 April 2015 the airfield owners, Fareham Borough Council, appointed Regional and City Airports (RCA) to manage the airfield. FBC constructed new entrances to eliminate the need for runway crossings by vehicles, and redevelopment of numerous parts of the site began.
CEMAST (Centre of Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training), part of Fareham College, now provides facilities on previously undeveloped land in the south east corner of the airfield. Wartime Hangar A was demolished to make way for the Fareham Innovation Centre, a complex of business starter units adjacent to the South-East Apron, and investment was put into new roads and infrastructure, and hangars for aviation use with runway access.
As of 2023, the airfield has recently undergone a significant resurfacing project, improving a number of the airports taxiways, and construction of new Aerodrome Ground Lighting is due to commence with a view to becoming operational in Spring 2024.
